Why we built this
Accent is the last mile of language learning.
Millions of people arrive in Canada — or move into senior roles, client-facing positions, or academic programs — with strong grammar, strong vocabulary, and one persistent barrier: the way they sound does not yet match the way they are heard.
Accent coaching has historically been expensive, slow, and hard to access. A good human coach costs hundreds of dollars a month and is only available at fixed times. Apps offer quizzes but not conversations. Neither gives you the thing that actually changes a sound: immediate correction in a real speaking moment, followed by an immediate retry.
AccenTuner was built to close that gap. We operate in Canada — a country where more than 20% of residents speak a language other than English at home — and our scenarios are built around the CLB framework, Canadian workplace norms, and regulated-profession contexts.
